In 1853, glassmaker Pochet & du Courval created the bottle, on which is written "aux abeilles" (for the bees), for the Eau de Cologne Impériale fragrance intended for Empress Eugenia. Its "tiles," inspired by the dome of the Vendôme column, are adorned with 69 gold bees, symbols of the Empire.

The bottle celebrates 160 years and can hold the fragrance of your choice and be personalized with the initials you wish. The color of the perfume and the seal of the label vary depending on the fragrance.

For this new interpretation of L'Homme Idéal, Thierry Wasser, perfumer of the Guerlain Maison, has chosen to explore new facets of almond. The almond is accompanied in the top notes by the effervescence of bergamot mixed with pink pepper.

In the heart notes, cinnamon and plum notes accompany heliotrope, a floral note with elegant almond accents. Finally, the charm of a woody base note of patchouli and cedar is dressed in tobacco and an intense leather note.
