Differences between Lighteners and Bleach: • Bleach is used to lighten natural hair without giving it any type of tone. • The difference with lighteners is that they also provide a tone or color to the hair. • The composition of a bleach has nothing to do with that of a dye or a lightener.

Bleaching powders have active ingredients that are meant to eliminate the natural color of the hair. Furthermore, they do not provide any type of pigment. This is the function that hair dyes perform. Lightening is the opposite process to bleaching.

Nelly Color's new range of lighteners is an addition to our current permanent hair coloring range. The main difference between the current shades and the lightener range is the lightening capacity: • Lightening shades have greater lightening power (between 4 and 5 tones) than usual permanent shades (2-3 tones). • Lighteners are light shades for application on blonde hair. • The ratio between dye and developer cream in lighteners is 1:1.5, while in usual dyes it is 1:1.

This achieves greater lightening power. • The peroxide in lighteners is 30 volumes instead of 20.
